Everything below represents notes for Sepha to finish the YouTube vid and article with.

So far, they have basically been having meshes together to learn the concepts.

Now we go back, and we start to explain in detail what is good and what is bad.

We provide 2 examples of axiomatically "good" topology that apear in contradition with eachother.

  • The point - Topology always serves a purpose

  • Here are the purposes:

    • Deformation is the big one, animation

    • Baking, and surface shading

    • General modeling workflow and tools in general

    • speed

    • VFX and other deformation

    • The point - We make judgement calls based on the domain and subject matter.
